Falling flowers

Some more daily sketches... that turned out not to be daily, of course. 

Some days several... and other days none at all!

I got up at 4:35am (usually do) and had the idea of

  falling flowers

Different approaches on the same theme.

I took pictures with my phone(!) and isolated some of the sections that I like best.

Small cloth #1: Stitching done.

Have to say, I didn't think I would have the patience to finish it, but I did! :)

In spite of having an "active" area of just 14 x 8 cms, this little cloth has already swallowed several hours and made my fingers sore.

Currently looking just like a quilt designed for a contemporary doll's house, I'm convinced it wouldn't have taken me that much longer to stitch a full scale version ;)

Blue & Beige. A powerful combination.

Hamadryas. "Starry night". 

Can't remember which species. But it's one of my favorites.

Bad night. Dogs barking and 100 mile per hour thoughts. Not a good combination.

Possibly the last of the dry season blossoms. Tababuia chrysantha.

The rains are coming.
