Falling flowers

Some more daily sketches... that turned out not to be daily, of course.

Some days several... and other days none at all!

I got up at 4:35am (usually do) and had the idea of

  falling flowers

Different approaches on the same theme.

I took pictures with my phone(!) and isolated some of the sections that I like best.

Which is your favorite?

Sorry... I'm having real problems with formatting on blogger these days... seems to have a life of it's own now!

Fireworks and flowers

My Wacom graphics tablet has arrived from the US.

I have been working - at my paying job - every day since the 26th, so time to test it out has been limited (and probably it's going to carry on that way for the rest of the year). But, snatching a few moments here and there, I'm kind of getting accustomed with the practice of drawing in one place whilst looking in another (you draw on the tablet, but look at the computer screen!). Laying down some very sketchy ideas for future development.

HERE'S WISHING YOU ALL A HEALTHY, HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!

Red

Flame flowers of "Malinche" (Delonix regia).

And with cashew nut pods (Anacardium occidentale).

Tababuia Chrysantha

Possibly the last of the dry season blossoms. Tababuia chrysantha.

The rains are coming.

I couldn't choose which image I liked best. I added them extra large for full impact!

Pink & Purple & White

Orchids @ work.
